It has been over a year and a half since I took a leap of faith, leaving behind the comfort of what I knew to embrace the unknown. My intuition, my purpose and the deep desires of my heart led me forward. This journey has been nothing short of a roller coaster, an intense blend of emotions, doubts and profound lessons. Through it all, I’ve became stronger, more confident and deeply anchored in my mission.
In the beginning, fear was a constant companion. Doubts whispered in my ears: “What if I fail? What if they judge me? What if I’m not good enough?” As a new healer, facilitator and teacher, I found myself comparing my beginning to others’ years of mastery. The weight of those insecurities held me back, blocking my growth and keeping me stagnant.
Procrastination was another hurdle. There were tasks I dreaded, marketing and building a website, for example. I convinced myself I wasn’t good enough to do them, that I hated those tasks and that I needed someone else to take over. I even justified my avoidance to make myself feel better. But the truth was, I was afraid to try, afraid to fail. It became yet another block to my progress.
But something shifted. Slowly, I began to realize the power of self-belief. I stopped seeking perfection and embraced progress. I reminded myself that no one is perfect when they begin and growth comes from practice, dedication and faith. My purpose: serving others and helping create a better world, became the light guiding me through the dark moments.
When I grounded my desire and purpose, something magical happened. With the help of modern technology and AI tools, I decided to tackle the dreaded website project on my own. To my surprise, it became an experience of ease and fun. What I thought would take weeks, I accomplished in just five days! This taught me a profound lesson: when you align with your purpose and ground your aspirations, everything begins to flow. The Universe supports your efforts when you trust yourself.
This year, I also faced one of my most intense and unexpected challenges. In spring, I discovered a dead body in my yard. In an instant, I experienced a flood of emotions, fear, panic and confusion. I went through the full cycle of fight, flight, and freeze all at once. My mind raced with assumptions and before calming myself or understanding the truth, I shared my fears with others. Without realizing it, my panic rippled through my community, spreading fear and uncertainty.
That experience became one of my greatest teachers. I learned the importance of regulating my emotions, pausing, breathing and grounding myself before reacting. Healing became my priority. I booked healing sessions, practiced breathwork, exercised, meditate and turned to my rituals of self-care. Slowly, I released the trauma and restored balance. This lesson reminded me that in moments of chaos, responding with clarity and mindfulness is essential, not just for myself but for those around me.
Through this journey, I’ve also embraced one of the most profound truths about life: progression is essential. As humans, we are not meant to stay stuck or too comfortable. Evolution is a natural and necessary part of life, woven into every moment of our existence. Growth doesn’t have a finish line, it’s a lifelong journey of discovery and transformation. There is no limit to how much we can progress, how deeply we can explore who we truly are and how beautifully we can evolve into our fullest potential.
Through this journey, I also learned one of the most transformative lessons of all: embracing the cycle of life. I had to release my old self and it was terrifying. I had been comfortable being her, even though I knew she no longer served me. Letting go felt like stepping into the unknown, into a version of myself I didn’t yet know or understand. But life, like nature, is full of cycles. Nature has been one of my greatest healers and teachers, showing me how everything must die to be reborn.
I realized that growth requires death and rebirth, again and again, if we desire to truly step into our power and know ourselves deeply. It’s not easy; it’s messy, uncomfortable and sometimes downright scary. But the beauty of embracing this cycle is that it opens you up to infinite possibilities. It teaches you to trust the process, to let go of old beliefs and conditioning that no longer serve your growth and to step boldly into the new.
I learned to trust in the process, to believe in my unique capacity and strength. Comparing myself to others no longer served me; I started celebrating my authentic, imperfect self. I overcame procrastination and the cycle of self-sabotage. I reprogrammed my understanding of success, it’s no longer about how much you have or how much you earn. True success is walking with integrity, love and authenticity, growing into the best version of yourself so that you can uplift others.
This journey has also taught me the importance of grounding. For years, I was everywhere, jumping from one idea to the next, constantly starting projects but rarely finishing them. I realized I was chasing inspiration without focus, seeking fulfillment outside of myself. But grounding myself changed everything. Through daily rituals of prayer and meditation, I’ve learned to focus on the aspirations that truly matter, the ones my heart desires to nurture. Instead of scattering my energy, I now anchor it into one or two meaningful projects at a time. And from that place of focus, I’ve started to grow and manifest my dreams.
Another profound lesson is the power of positivity. I’ve learned to think positive, to see the blessings in each day and to be grateful for even the smallest joys. Gratitude has become my daily practice, infusing my life with a sense of peace and abundance. I’ve also embraced the importance of joy, laughing, dancing, exploring and expressing myself in every way possible. Whether it’s through self-expression workshops or simply surrounding myself with a supportive community of people who are authentic and committed to growth, joy has become the fuel that keeps me moving forward.
And finally, I’ve learned to make no excuses. If I wanted to grow, I had to invest in myself. I realized how much money I had spent on things that didn’t truly serve me, smoking, drinking, buying useless things and how little they fulfilled me. So, I stopped. I redirected those resources to myself, choosing to invest in my growth. It was the best decision I’ve ever made. Unlike buying a new car or something that brings temporary happiness, investing in yourself brings fulfillment that lasts a lifetime. It not only transforms you but also uplifts everyone around you.
